Christmas in April!!

Our grant money from the Wylie Education Foundation cam in this week!!  You can imagine my excitement when, yesterday, I was handed  a $2,000 Home Depot card and let loose in the store!!  I spent almost half of the money on a storage shed, 2 composters, 2 50 ft. hoses, a wind up hose keeper, 2 hose nozzles, a large shovel and rake, a trash can, 2 watering cans and 10 trowels.

The rest of the money will purchase rain barrels and gutters, sand, pavers, and a few other odds and ends.
The other half of the grant money will help buy all the native Texas plants for the butterfly garden.

The maintenance department has leveled the ground in preparation for the pea gravel and pavers.  Also a wrought iron fence dontated by Colby Crain of C&C Energy and Mr. and Mrs. Whitt is being built by the Cambridge Fence company and should be in by the end of the week.
As of today, the plan is to begin planting this week or next!!

The Whitts came to check out the progress on the W.O.L.F.

Mr. and Mrs. Whitt won a wagon full of gardening stuff at the Boots and Barbecue Gala!!  How appropriate!!

If you get the Wylie or Sachse News, you might have noticed a write up about us!!

This is the picture that DID NOT go in the Newspapers!! :)
Happy Gardening!!
